To obtain greatest nutritional value from your sprouts, use them right out of the container. Put them on salads, sandwiches, garnish soup. Raw sprouts are also very crunchy and very delicious. Your sprouts can be stored in the refrigerator.
A Yummy Recipe of Mine!
It is my twist on “Deb’s on Black”; a staple on the menu at Whole World Bakery and Café in the Columbus suburb of Clintonville:
- ½ Avocado
- Swiss cheese
- Handful of sprouts
- Fresh tomatoes
- Your favorite bread
- Mustard and/or mayo to taste
Make a grilled cheese sandwich. Open it up and lay on the sliced avocado, tomatoes, and the sprouts. Dress with mayo and mustard.
