Kindred Spirits: The new name of the long-established and well-regarded restaurant at the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls reflects the intimacy of the Inn’s restaurant and the familial atmosphere that is created here. Those who visit can sense it: we’re connected to the earth and to one another.
It’s that connection that inspires Executive Chef Anthony Schulz. His vision to make Kindred Spirits a truly special experience focuses on local ingredients prepared in the most simple, yet elegant way. Chef Anthony wants Kindred Spirits’ fare to perfectly complement all of the fun and activity the Hocking Hills has to offer.
That increased commitment to local and artisanal ingredients spills over into Kindred Spirits Tavern. Here, you’ll find a wider-than-ever selection of local and craft beers. Four taps will feature the finest brews hand crafted in small barrels allowing for bi-weekly tap changes and offering our guests the chance to sample these artisan beers, such as local favorites from Jackie O’s Brewery and Rockmill Brewery.
We’ve assembled a wildly impressive wine list and trained our staff to ensure that it’s easy to order the ideal wine or spirits to perfectly complement to Anthony’s beautifully crafted menu offerings. And Chef Anthony has added more gluten-free options, which will be called out on menus.
Kindred Spirits pays homage to the spirit of sharing something meaningful. And we’re excited to share the beauty of this locally owned and operated, one-of-a-kind restaurant and tavern with our guests. Both inn guests and others visiting the area are welcome to enjoy lunch, dinner and drinks at Kindred Spirits. And of course, breakfast is always included in your inn stay.
“I want this to be a place that people leave and want to tell others about,” said Chef Anthony. “Our vision is really to be a family of people who share a love of delicious food and great drinks as we celebrate together.”
