The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls is pleased to announce that Owner and Inn-Keeper Ellen Grinsfelder, has been appointed by Governor Kasich to the TourismOhio Advisory Board through September, 2015. Ellen is excited for the opportunity; “It’s an honor to represent the tourism industry for southeastern Ohio. I believe it’s important to give back with your time and experience. Volunteering is one of the best ways I know how.”
The TourismOhio Advisory Board is compiled of individuals throughout the state that come together to “advise the director of development services and the director of the office of TourismOhio on strategies for promotion tourism in this state.” There are nine members of the board that each bring a varied perspective to the team, allowing them to strategize for Ohio as a whole.
Tourism is the fourth largest industry in Ohio, generating nearly half a million jobs state wide and over 40 billion in annual revenues. With the continued growth of the Ohio tourism industry, the TourismOhio Advisory Board was created in 2012 to build on this growth and push Ohio treasures towards a larger market.
