The Lancaster Festival is fast approaching and is sure to be another great event for art and music enthusiasts alike!
From orchestra to celtic music, art to ballet, the Lancaster Festival offers something for everyone and is a fabulous time for the whole family. Taking place July 21 – 30, this year’s festivities start with a world premier performance of English composer Patrick Hawes’ Te Deum courtesy of the Lancaster Chorale and the Festival Orchestra. Day two includes the popular ArtWalk in downtown Lancaster, as well as a Candlelight Concert at First United Methodist Church. The weekend is full of music with sounds of Celtic Fire’s Irish songs, step dancers and musicians, family fun with Festival Fair Day at the historic Fairfield County Fairgrounds, and dance with another world premier when BalletMet performs Pinocchio.
Other great events include The Mr. B Trio Boogie Woogie, The Unforgettable Fire – a U2 tribute concert, Arnett Howard presents An Evening of James Brown and Prince, orchestra concerts, Rising Park Day, lots of free music at the Bandstand, and finally The Beach Boys!
Music and art abounds in Central Ohio this summer! See you at the Lancaster Festival – summer’s sizzling salute to the arts!
