10 Days of Culinary Adventure in the Hocking Hills

Dine Originals Columbus is 10 years old and, at the Inn, we’re very excited to be a part of their ’10 Days of Culinary Adventure’!

Join us at the Inn this week, March 11 – 20, and take advantage of our Celebrate Taste of Dine Originals 10 package.  Enjoy an overnight stay in one of our quaint guest rooms. Spend the afternoon relaxing in front of the fireplace in our Fireside Lounge or hiking around beautiful Old Man’s Cave.

For dinner, experience a special four-course meal for two created especially for this week by Executive Chef Anthony Schulz.  Look forward to a first course of Pan Roasted Coconut Crab Cake with Baby Greens & Pineapple Vinaigrette or Spicy Tomato-Chick Pea Soup. Follow that with Baby Spinach, Fresh Chevre, Pickled Red Onion, Toasted Hazelnuts & Sweet Dijon Vinaigrette. For the main course choose from Chicken Roulade – Caramelized Onion, Fennel & Carrots with Malhonding Cheese (Kokoborrego Cheese) with Sherry Sauce & Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes or Blackened Flat Iron Steak with Bourbon Demi, Grilled Asparagus & Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes. Make sure to leave room for The Inn’s Famous Mixed Berry Cobbler with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream or Lavender Shortbread with Jeni’s Dark Chocolate Ice Cream.

After a peaceful and relaxing night sleep, join us again in our 1840’s log cabin restaurant for a hearty breakfast.

Chef Anthony at Taste of Dine Originals

Last Thursday our own Chef Anthony joined Dine Originals Columbus and The Buckeye Ranch to host this years Taste of Dine Originals. With 50 restaurants, 30 vineyards, 2 craft breweries, and 2 micro distilleries represented, it was quite an event!

Held at The Capital University Field House, guests enjoyed delicious tastings from each of the participating businesses, and were invited to take part in a silent auction and wine raffle. Auctioned items included private dinners, cooking lessons, special events, works of art, and rare bottles of wine. All proceeds from the event benefited Dine Originals Columbus and The Buckeye Ranch.

Taste Of Dine Originals

Dine Originals Columbus is gearing up for their annual Taste of Dine Originals event, and the Inn is very excited to once again be involved!

Taste of Dine Originals is a magical evening of delicious food, wine, beer, art, and excellent company. More than 50 original restaurants, 30 vineyards, and 2 craft breweries will all have magnificent offerings designed to tantalize your palate. Our own Chef Anthony will be present, offering Apple Wood Smoked Duck with Wild Mushroom, Cherry-Balsamic Vinaigrette, and Creme Fraiche as well as Lavender and Brandy Pound Cake with Dark Chocolate Ganache, all sure to be as remarkable as ever!

The evening will also include a silent auction featuring cooking lessons, private dinners, special events, works of art, and more. All proceeds from the evening will benefit The Buckeye Ranch and Dine Originals Columbus.
