Spanish Wine TasteInn In The Hocking Hills

Summer is winding down but there is still time for some fun in the Hocking Hills! On August 26 we are pleased to host the third of our very popular Wine TasteInns. These events are always a good time and this one is sure to be no exception!

Our Fall Wine TasteInn will feature the delicious and increasingly more popular wines of Spain. Look forward to great tasting, approachable wines presented by wine expert Steve Gifford and paired with Chef Anthony’s mouth-watering offerings.

Your four-course meal will include well-known Spanish foods, starting with a Spanish Omelette w/Greens & Saffron Aioli, and followed by Roasted Spaghetti Squash Soup and Boston & Radicchio Greens w/Toasted Almonds, Grapes, Goat Cheese & Sherry Vinaigrette. Entree choices include Paella w/Shrimp, Clams & House Made Chorizo or Grilled Hanger Steak w/Chimichurri.

Get together with a bunch of friends and join us as we party the evening away. Bring your questions and hearty appetite and be ready to learn a little, drink a little, and laugh a lot! Welcome, and Enjoy!

Not So Wordless Wednesday In The Hocking Hills

2010 was a busy year at the Inn. Here are a few snapshots…

The Inn continued to be a part of Dine Originals, Columbus, encouraging people to Dine Locally.

Our Fireside Chats spanned the year. From Medicinal Herbs to Flora and Fauna to Storytelling and more.

The Inn’s very popular workshops educated many of our guests and included photography, holistic health,

poetry, adventure, and more!

Chef Anthony entertained and taught at the The North Market and The Home and Garden Show

and the Inn was very pleased to host a number of weddings and group retreats in our new Gathering Place.

The Inn’s wine and beer tastings were a favorite of everyone and included fabulous guests like Via Vecchia Winery and Rockmill Brewery.

Mark Turner passed through on his Walk Across America, raising money for Charity:Water. We were very honored to provide him with dinner, a night’s sleep, and a hearty breakfast before sending him on his way. Hope it’s still going well, Mark!

Our guests arrived in many different ways,

and dined on delicious, local cuisine – including fresh morels found right here in the Hocking Hills.And in the fall we were very honored to salute our veterans by providing a few with a restful and relaxing night at the Inn,

and in November partnered with the American Red Cross to host a local blood drive.

Wow, 2010 was a busy year at the Inn And Spa At Cedar Falls! We are looking forward to even more wonderful things in 2011 and hope you will join us in the beautiful Hocking Hills! Welcome and Enjoy!

Fall Wine TasteInn at the Inn & Spa At Cedar Falls

Today is the Fall Wine TasteInn with Chef Anthony and if you have not reserved your spot you won’t believe what you are missing!

Diners will start with a Crab-Apple Baguette and a Chasing Venus Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. The salad will be Sugar Snaps, Feta & Grapes with Rocket & Champagne Vinaigrette with Peter Lehmann Riesling out of Eden Valley Australia, and the soup will be a Roasted Tomato & Wild Mushroom paired with a Marquis Philips Grenache from South Australia.

For the dinner entree, participants will have a choice of Rosemary & Pine Nut Roasted Rack of New Zealand Lamb with Crushed Tomato Red Wine Sauce or Pan Seared King Barramundi with Capers, Kalamata Olives, Garlic, Paprika, & White Wine. Both options will be paired with Henry’s Drive “Dead Letter Office” Shiraz from South Australia and Oyster Bay Merlot from New Zealand.

If diners have any room left after these delicious entrees, they will enjoy Honey-Almond Cake with Brown Butter Almond Brittle Ice Cream and Campbell’s Muscat from South Australia.

The special opportunities to experience Chef Anthony’s fabulous food are not over! September 24-25 he will be hosting our popular Fall CookInn Class and in November you are welcome to wine and dine with Anthony and his wife. Spring Wine TasteInn

It is only a few short weeks until our Spring Wine TasteInn! These very popular events are always fun and informative and include dinner with Innkeepers Terry and Ellen, select wines, and a fabulous dinner in our award-winning restaurant.


Our Spring Wine TasteInn will showcase French wines and will be led by wine expert, Steve Gifford. Look for dinner to complement the French wines selected, including fresh produce from the area!

Thai Yoga Massage Class and Wine Tasting

As we’ve mentioned over the last month, we’ve had some interesting, informative, and entertaining events at the Inn lately.


The first week of March we hosted a Thai Yoga Massage class led by Anthony Conard from OM Yoga Studio. Students spent five days at the Inn, learning proper body alignment and stances, how to apply energy balance through acupressure and Thai energy sen lines, perfect safety precautions, as well as the history and philosophy of Thai Yoga Massage.

In March we were also very excited to have Via Vecchia Winery join us for one of our very popular wine tastinn events. Guests were treated to some of Via Vecchia’s excellent wine, while enjoying good company and of course Chef Anthony’s fabulous food. A truly wonderful time was had by all.
