Your Guide to Social Distancing in the Hocking Hills
1. Visit Hocking Hills State Park
Hocking Hills State Park is our region’s most popular attraction. Encompassing 2,000 acres of forest, it’s the perfect place for socially distanced fun! This Ohio state park boasts scenic hiking trails, waterfalls, recess caves, and more. Did we mention our property is surrounded on three sides by Hocking Hills State Park, so it’s easy to explore everything this attraction has to offer when you stay at the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls!
2. Explore Rockbridge State Nature Preserve
Rockbridge State Nature Preserve is another great place to explore Ohio’s great outdoors. This 220-acre nature preserve is home to hiking trails and diverse geological formations like the Rockbridge Natural Bridge. This natural bridge is more than 100 feet long and up to 20 feet wide, so it’s truly a sight to behold!
3. Have a Picnic
No matter where you go to explore the outdoors, be sure to pack a lunch! Forget boring cold-cut sandwiches and reserve a brown bag lunch to-go from our on-site restaurant, Kindred Spirits. Choose from salads, sandwiches, soups, and more! It’s the fuel you need to complete your afternoon of outdoor adventure.
4. Stargaze at John Glenn Astronomy Park
The excitement doesn’t end when the sun goes down! Visit John Glenn Astronomy Park in the evening to gaze at the stars. You’ll have access to their 28-inch telescope in the roll-off roof observatory or the option to set up your own telescope and gear. If the moon, planets, stars, and galaxies are within view, you are sure to see them! Be sure to reserve an on-site parking spot before visiting, as they limit the number of cars allowed in the lot.
