The Women of Appalachia Project presents “Women Speak”

An evening of story, poetry and song—every voice raised in tribute to Appalachian endurance, honor, courage, love of family, community, and the land. Hosted by Ohio Poet Laureate Kari Gunter-Seymour.

“Women Speak” is a lavish mix of Appalachian female voices—northern, central, southern, Affrilachian, Indigenous, Asian-Appalachian, LGBTQ, those with disabilities and developmental differences, emerging and well-established. Ohio Poet Laureate Kari Gunter-Seymour hosts an evening of story, poetry, and song—every voice raised in tribute to Appalachian endurance, honor, courage, love of family, community, and the land. Doors open at 6 pm.

This event is free to attend! Your ticket will serve as a seat reservation. When selecting tickets, you will be able to select “free admission”, or you will see different options to donate to Stuart’s Opera House. Donations are greatly appreciated, but not required.
