Burr Oak State Park

Located in southeast Ohio, Burr Oak State Park offers 2,593 acres of natural wonder. Situated in a quiet and remote location, the park is about an hour from our inn and is a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts of all types.

Burr Oak Lake is well known for catches of largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish. In the winter months the lake becomes a popular destination for ice fishing. A valid Ohio fishing license is required.

Scioto Trail State Forest

This natural gem is small, quiet, and nestled in beautiful 9,000-acre Scioto Trail State Park. The 218-acre state park is an undisturbed wooded refuge just south of Chillicothe.
