We had a wonderful stay at Double Down Lodge. Everything was just perfect.

We loved the Double Down Lodge. We would rate it very good!It was large enough for our group. Thanks for the games that were there to play along with the games we brought, everyone had plenty to do. Hot tub was a big hit. Our lab, Belle,loved all the stairs and looking for everyone. A path/stairs to the firepit might be a safe addition.

The cabin was clean, has plenty of space to house 10 people and separate areas to enjoy different activities at the same time. The hot tub was fantastic and the two refrigerators gave us plenty of space to store everything for the weekend. Just a 10 minute drive to most sites at Hocking Hills made it easy to go on multiple hikes over just a few days.

This cabin was fantastic and we really enjoyed the stay. The drive way is definitely steep. My only comment is the front stairs are also steep. We were fine but my grandma would not have been able to get up them without much help. Overall, we would absolutely stay here again!!

The Double Down is the perfect property for our family. Plenty of room for everyone to be together yet, have their own space when needed. Me, my 3 sons, daughters in law and grandchildren enjoyed turning off this crazy world for a couple days.

Recently we planned a family reunion near Old Man’s Cave and wanted a convenient location. The Inn at Cedar Falls had just what we needed at Double Down, about 3.5 miles away. The spacious cabin has five good-sized bedrooms with 3 full baths. The kitchen is large, has a bar with 4 stools, and provides everything a vacation rental needs for meal preparation. One of the best features is a large table in a dining are that seats 10-12 people. The pictures don’t do this area justice. We had all our meals here and loved it. The living room is large and has a sectional couch facing a fireplace with mounted tv above it. A wrap-around deck is easily accessed and has plenty of tables and chairs to relax and enjoy a secluded woods. There is a hot tub located on the ground level and holds at least half a dozen people. It was clean and had an easy-to-use thermostat to regulate temperature. Our first day was humid and in the 90’s. The AC made time spent in the cabin a delight. When the weather broke the next day we hiked to caves in the area in the morning and after dinner. The location is perfect. It’s close enough to the area attractions, but is far enough away to feel like a true getaway. The downstairs has a full-size bar with 2 televisions and plenty of seating. A welcome surprise was a full-size refrigerator/freezer near the bar to provide room for beverages for all our guests. The washer and dryer were both new and used softened water to keep sulfur from ruining clothes. You can expect a clean cabin when arriving, with easy keypad access. There were no surprises, and was as advertised. If you need high speed internet for work or reliable cell service, stay in a more populated place than Hocking Hills. Come to relax and getaway from the stress of life. Most people will agree with the cabin descriptions—4-wheel drive makes the steep approach easier. Although one of our party had only front-wheel drive and made it up once, the gravel driveway on a steep hill made it challenging. We will be staying here again. Perfect for larger vacations with family.

Very clean and comfortable! Huge front porch made it wonderful for all of us to gather and enjoy the surroundings. Top notch hot tub. Lots of ammenities and the sheets were the best I ever felt..very high class!

We had a great time at the Double Down. We played shuffleboard and cards, soaked in the hot tub and had a great time catching up with my high school buddies. We also enjoyed the restaurants in Logan and caught some of the local sights. A great home to base operations.

2 families enjoyed a wonderful time at the Double Down Lodge! The Lodge was very clean and in great condition! It had many of things you'd have in your home too, even some basic spices to make your meals even better! The hot tub was very clean and in great shape! The basement bar was great for group gatherings and watching the game! The BBQ was nearly brand new and excellent! The staff at the The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls very helpful and courteous too. Would definitely recommend! Helpful advice for future visitors: The driveway is very steep, 17 degree grade at the steepest incline. Highly recommend all wheel drive (AWD) or 4 wheel drive. The front covered porch only has 2 chairs. Consider bringing a few camping chairs. Wifi is very slow didn't work at times. (Working remotely may be challenged).
