With its upscale finishes and carefully curated décor, this newer lodge blends comfort and style in a way that feels both inviting and elevated.Inside, the open living and dining area creates an easy space to gather, centered around a stunning floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and framed by expansive windows that bring the surrounding forest right into view. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals, while the comfortable seating throughout invites you to settle in and unwind.Each of the two bedrooms features a king bed and a private en suite bathroom, providing comfort and privacy for up to four guests. An additional half bath adds convenience for shared spaces.Step outside onto the spacious wraparound porch, where multiple seating areas offer the perfect place to relax and take in the quiet natural setting. The hot tub provides a peaceful spot to unwind after a day of exploring, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the woods.Louise’s Hideaway shares 5.5 acres with nearby Thelma’s Retreat, offering a sense of space and privacy while still being close to another lodge for those traveling with a larger group.

Louise's Hideaway is an off-property lodge in Logan, just an 9 minute drive from The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls, including Kindred Spirits, the spa and the gift shop. Centrally located in the Hocking Hills, Louise's Hideaway provides convenient access to area attractions with most trails only 5-20 minutes away by car with Old Man's Cave being the closest. 3 minutes from Old Man's Cave General store and less than 20 minutes to the nearest town of Logan for your last minute shopping needs. Louise's Hideaway is the perfect location to be close to everything.
When paired with near by Thelma's Retreat which sleeps 8 you can keep a group of 12 close together.

Girls weekend
We had a great time. The cabin was clean, well equipped, and just the right size for 4 40-somethings looking to get a weekend away to reconnect with nature and each other. Check in/out process was clear and easy. As others have said, they are not kidding about the driveway - it is very steep and I wouldn't want to mess with it in ice or snow. There is really only parking for two vehicles max, but ideally just one. The spa and restaurant are close by - a 5ish minute drive.

Warm and Cozy during Winter
I surprised my husband with a weekend with his daughter and her husband to celebrate 70 years on this planet. It had snowed that day so believe them when they say you need all wheel or 4-wheel drive to get up the driveway. We weren’t the best fire builders the first night but foraged for some kindling before trying it again and this time had success. The hot tub was lovely too. Kindred Spirits provided our breakfast and dinner which were both delightful and tasty. Great weekend during the frigid winter.

Love this cabin
Perfect size for 4. Super clean and comfortable. Tastefully furnished and decorated. Well stocked kitchen. We made use of all the amenities - indoor wood burning fireplace, fire pit, hot tub. Enjoyed crisp fall mornings on the porch with our coffee before starting our day. Short drive to all the activities on our list. Stayed at several cabins over the years and this was our favorite. Would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect lodge
The lodge had everything we would ever need. They thought of everything. Even the bed was amazing and so comfortable. Not those cheap thin mattresses. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. I will say, we were a bit confused on location of the lodge. We thought it was near the spa and golf course but everything is a drive. Which was fine! Just not explained in the description well. And the driveway was no joke! Def need 4 wheel drive. Even in late summer!

2nd time just as wonderful!
This is my 2nd trip to Hocking Hills and staying in this beautiful cabin this year. I intend to come back again next year and would definitely stay here again. The cabin is just perfect. The floorplan of Louise's Hideaway is wonderful and offers privacy when traveling with another couple. We appreciated the 2 master bedrooms/ensuites. Once again, we were so happy to relax and enjoy the hot tub after miles of hiking. Hocking Hills State Park is very close and there are many terrific restaurants near by as well. Highly recommended!

Great Stay @ Louise's Cabin
Beautiful cabin and really clean. Loved everything about it. The communication prior to our stay was top-notch! Highly recommend! By the way, they aren’t kidding when they say an AWD or 4x4 is required! The driveway was incredibly step and the kids felt like they were on a roller coaster!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and we would absolutely stay there again. Our only complaints were the squeaky floors and the fact that there is no good walkway from where you park to the cabin. We all took a slip while carrying our groceries to the cabin. The grade is extremely steep and I understand the 4x4 requirement but walking to and from the car was challenging. other than that the ammenities were excellent we wanted for nothing. The hot tub was amazing. Everything was clean and perfect it was a nice relaxing weekend.

Perfect in every way!
This was the perfect cabin for our annual girl's trip! We were thrilled with the location as it is just a short drive to many of the attractions in Hocking Hills. Several restaurants were a short drive away as well. The lodge is just beautiful. Everything was well thought out and allowed us to relax completely. The living room area was very cozy, the kitchen well stocked with anything you might need, the Wi-Fi was a plus due to spotty cell coverage but the real bonus was the sparking clean hot tub. What a treat after a long day of hiking the caves & trails! All of the furniture including the beds & linens were very comfortable and the covered porch provided us a great place to enjoy dinner and play games. Thank you for all of the attention to detail. We will be back!
