About the Hemlock Bridge Trail in the Hocking Hills
The Hocking Hills State Park draws thousands of adventurers every year. Top sights to see include Ash Cave, Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, and more! One of our favorites is Whispering Cave. To get here, you need to embark on the Hemlock Bridge Trail. You’ll get to pass over a swinging rope bridge through towering hemlock trees on this beautiful trail. It takes about an hour to complete and is one and a half miles long.
Hiking the Trail
The Hemlock Bridge Trail in Hocking Hills is new to the park. It was built to connect to the Old Man’s Cave Gorge Trail and brings travelers to Whispering Cave. The portion over Old Man’s Creek has made this trail a must-see during your stay at the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls. Known as the “Indiana Jones” bridge of the Hocking Hills, this swinging rope bridge is a challenging yet fun walk for those who complete it. For years, it was said there could never be a bridge over the gorge to connect the two sides. With some innovation, the Hemlock Pedestrian Bridge was born!
Getting There
The Hemlock Bridge Trail parking lot is less than 10 minutes away from the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls! You’re welcome to park at the trailhead and embark on your adventure.
