Where Can I Go Hocking Hills Kayaking?

There are a few places that are great for kayaking in the Hocking Hills. The Hocking River is a favorite of many. The slow currents are the perfect way to get a little push as you paddle. If you would rather kayak on a lake, Lake Logan or Lake Hope will do the trick! Lake Logan State Park is about 15 minutes away from the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls, and countless people come here to use the easy-access boat ramps.

Hocking Hills Kayaking Companies

If you’re staying at the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls and want to go kayaking, you don’t have to worry about strapping your kayaks to your car and bringing them with you. We have plenty of companies that rent kayaks out and will give you a clear path to paddle.

Fox’s Canoe Livery

Fox’s Canoe Livery is located on the banks of the Hocking River. You can choose from an hourly kayak rate or opt for one of their pre-planned trip options. Trip A lasts for about an hour and a half and is perfect for beginners. Trip B covers a little more distance, and you’ll be paddling for about two to three hours. If you want to see more of the Hocking Hills, we recommend Trip B. There’s a place to stop and hike to see the famous Natural Rock Bridge! All rentals include a life vest and your paddle, so all you have to worry about bringing is your sense of adventure. Local tip: For an extra special excursion, try a moonlight cruise. It’s the perfect date night idea!

Hocking Hills Adventures

Hocking Hills Adventures has been guiding both visitors and locals around our area for more than 40 years. They offer multiple trips on the Hocking River that vary in length. These excursions range from five to 15 miles down the river. If you’re a beginner or have children with you, we recommend starting out slow. Otherwise, you can choose one of the longer trips and spend the day enjoying the great outdoors.
