Our Favorite One Tank Trips in Ohio

The Hocking Hills Scenic Byway

Winding deep into the hills of southeast Ohio, the Hocking Hills Scenic Byway is a must-see when you’re in the area. Following State Route 374 (the road that our inn is located on!), guests can travel the beautiful country roads, admire spectacular scenery, and stop at various attractions and historical landmarks along the way. Feel free to get out of the car and hike to the waterfalls and caves at one of the many Hocking Hills State Parks sites, or do a little bit of shopping at the Spirits of the Hills Fine Arts and Crafts Gallery. For a full list of Hocking Hills Scenic Byway points of interest, download a driving tour map.

Lancaster’s Covered Bridges

Guests can also visit some of the most beautiful covered bridges in Ohio when they take a 30-minute drive from Logan to Lancaster. Here, you’ll see historic bridges that date back to the 1800’s and will get a glimpse into Ohio’s past. These standing bridges are a testament to their original construction and restoration and are the perfect place for a photo op – so don’t forget to bring your camera!

Amish Country

Ohio’s Amish Country is located about two and a half hours north of our inn and is home to the largest Amish settlement in the world. Attracting four million people each year, this region features the famous “Amish Sistine Chapel,” the nation’s oldest livestock auction event, and the world’s largest retailer of non-electric appliances. Guests can peruse various bakeries, cheese houses, wineries, craft shops, and hardwood furniture stores, or take a guided back-road tour that ends with dinner in an Amish home. Surrounded by beautiful farmland and pastures, a trip to Amish Country is one of the best things to do in Ohio.
