Bison Lodge is an off-property lodge in Rockbridge, a short 2 minute drive to Cantwell Cliffs and 12 minutes from Rockbridge State Nature Preserve boasting the largest natural rock bridge in the state. Located in the north portion of the Hocking Hills, Bison Lodge provides convenient access to area attractions, with most trails only 2-25 minutes away by car. Just 20 minutes from The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls, including Kindred Spirits, the spa and the gift shop. The nearest town is Logan a 15 minute drive for your last minute shopping needs. For larger groups you can pair Bison with neighboring Liberty Lodge connected by a mowed field path between the lodges.

Beautiful lodge that’s well-cleaned and maintained. It comes stocked with enough dishes, towels, and bathrooms for all. The furniture is very comfortable. The hot tub and pool table are always the big hits when we come. Although the lodge doesn’t come with a massage, we get that as well through the inn and spa company, and it’s wonderful. It looks like this advertises the lodge as a 6-7 bedroom, but there are only 3, plus an open loft with 4 twin beds. I would suggest larger area rugs for better sound absorption since noise easily travels throughout the house, but that’s a very, very minor complaint.

This Lodge is very roomy inside. It was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have an inspection card with pH level of hot tub listed upon arrival. The oven temps might be a little off but we just adjusted our cooking times. The refrigerator is a big size to accommodate a group. The lodge is all wood and beautiful inside. Enough parking out front for our 9 cars. We hope to get more of our group next year and try the Liberty Lodge next door. Leaving at 11 is the ideal time. We would book through the Inn again.

Perfect Stay
The perfect stay for both sides of our extended family. All 12 adults, 3 kids, and 2 dogs fit comfortably into the cabin and had a great experience. Cabin was cozy and right next to Cantwell Cliffs which are a great experience as well. Beds were also extremely comfortable and everything was very well kept! Only two items to be prepared for ahead of time include the oven and firewood. The oven doesn't seem to hold it's temperature very well and the firewood supplied for the fireplaces is very thick. We had to run out to a hardware store and purchase an axe to cut it down further to make sure it would burn as we had trouble with it the first night. Nothing major just make sure to plan accordingly if visiting. Overall, without a doubt, a 5 star stay and will certainly be booking another trip in the near future!

Amazing service and excellent cabin!
Great location in the hocking hills with plenty of exploring options. The hosts were over the top helpful with ensuring we had everything we needed. I definitely recommend staying here!

We traveled to the cabin as a family group, grandparents, children and grandchildren. We had a lot of fun. We hiked at Ash Cave. We made use of the hot tub, pool table, fire pit, and game shelf. Our popcorn loving granddaughter was thrilled she got to make popcorn over the open fire. We laughed so hard playing the Mind the Gap game we found on the game shelf. We found the cabin to be very well equipped and comfortable. We were surprised to even find Kleenex. Our only suggestion would be that night lights in the bathrooms would have been nice. We would not hesitate to return again. I already know that when next summer rolls around, the grandchildren will ask if we can go to the cabin again. They want to try ziplining the next time. Thank you so much!
